CPTPP officially took effect with Vietnam from today

Since January 14, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) has officially come into effect in Viet Nam, which is expected to contribute US$1.7 billion and US$4 billion, or 1.32% and 4.04%, of Viet Nam’s GDP and export value respectively, by 2035.

Imports of chemicals from most markets have increased turnover

According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, in the first 3 months of 2018, total import turnover of chemicals was 1.15 billion USD, up by 22.7% over the same period in 2017. In particular, March 2018 reached 444.32 million USD, an increase of 56% compared to February 2018 and an increase of 17.3% compared to March 2017.
